NEW PROPHETS

Hand-embroidered works reimagining medieval symbolism.

For REVUSD, Jorge Mañes Rubio created New Prophets: three hand-embroidered works inspired by an 8th-century Spanish manuscript where Romanesque, Islamic and Byzantine influences meet.

Each piece is built through slow, meticulous beadwork - including glass beads and bag charms the artist hand-blown in Venice. Layer by layer, the compositions honour non-human species and elevate leather into symbolic, talismanic forms.

Finest full-grain black aniline leather sourced from unused European production; denim lining made from existing stock. Artwork and embroidery completed in the Netherlands; charms blown by the artist in Venice; bags crafted with precision by highly skilled leather artisans in Turkey.

Our pieces are made from unused premium leather, sourced from European luxury production. Materials created to the highest standards, yet never used.

We give them a life.

How we create

All REVUSD pieces are designed in-house at the House of REVUSD.

Here, we work directly with the material, exploring form, proportion and new ideas.

Some pieces are created within the House itself. Others are crafted in small volumes at a trusted atelier in Istanbul, known for its craftsmanship and experience with premium leather.

By keeping development close to the material, and production small and intentional, the integrity of each piece is preserved.

Longevity is our first responsibility.
