FAQ
Shipping & Production
How long does it take to craft my personalized AMI Journal?
Every Ami Journal is created entirely by hand in our atelier in the Netherlands. Our standard production time is 5 to 7 business days.
Please note: If you choose to add a hand-stitched inner pocket to your Ami, the intricate hand-sewing process requires a bit of extra time, and production will take 8 to 10 business days.
We will send you email updates throughout the process to keep you informed of your journal's journey.
How long does delivery take once my order is shipped?
Once your customized Ami leaves our atelier, it is handed over to our standard carriers. Delivery typically takes 1 to 3 business days within the Netherlands, and a few additional days for international shipments depending on the destination country. You will receive a tracking link as soon as your package is on its way.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my AMI Journal?
Ready-made AMI Journals purchased directly from the Ami Collection can be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in their original packaging.
Personalized Ami Journals are custom-made specifically to your unique specifications, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
What if there is an issue with my (custom) order?
Your satisfaction is incredibly important to us. If there is any defect, mistake, or quality issue with your handcrafted journal, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@revusd.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will always work with you to find a beautiful solution.
Ami Workshops
What is included in the €20 online workshop fee?
The €20 you pay online is your seat fee. This secures your exclusive spot at the table (maximum 6 makers per slot) and includes 2 hours of expert guidance from our host to design and craft your custom journal.
Please note: The materials for your specific Ami Journal are not included in this fee.
How much does a personalized AMI Journal cost in total?
The final price of your Ami depends entirely on the size and customizations you choose during the workshop. You can keep it as minimalist or make it as detailed as you like:
- AMI A6: Starts from €45 (includes leather, elastic ribbon, and 2 notebooks).
- AMI A5: Starts from €65 (includes leather, elastic ribbon, and 3 notebooks).
If you wish to upgrade your journal with premium leathers, unique charms, or art inserts, these can be added at the table. On average, our makers spend between €85 and €100 total (including the seat fee) for a fully customized Ami.
When do I pay for my actual AMI Journal?
The €20 seat fee is paid directly online to confirm your booking. The Ami Journal you design during the workshop (starting from €45 for A6 / €65 for A5, plus any optional upgrades) will be paid at our checkout at the end of your experience.
Where does the workshop take place?
We host our craft experiences at different spots. Please double-check your selected date and location carefully when booking:
- Den Bosch (Permanent Atelier): Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the House of REVUSD, located in the heart of 's-Hertogenbosch.
- Amsterdam (Pop-up Locations): On select dates, you can find us at unique pop-up locations in Amsterdam. Check out the Workshop Locations page for more info.
Your exact workshop location will always be listed on your booking confirmation email.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Because we work in very intimate groups of maximum 6 people to provide the best possible guidance, seats are highly limited. If something comes up, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are non-refundable.
What is the difference between a Craft Experience and a Design Experience?
The main difference lies in how much time you spend working the raw leather versus focusing purely on the design and decoration.
- The Craft Experience (2 hours): This is our signature, full-process workshop. Under expert guidance, you start completely from scratch. You will choose your raw leather, cut and finish it by hand, set the eyelets yourself, and then assemble and personalize it. Perfect if you want to learn the actual craft of leatherworking.
- The Design Experience (90 minutes): This is a faster-paced, design-focused event (often hosted at special pop-up locations like My Lima Lima). Instead of crafting the leather from scratch, you work with our carefully pre-prepared leather pieces. You skip the cutting and heavy crafting, allowing you to focus entirely on choosing your colors, elastics, inserts, and charms, and assembling your journal right away.
