SWAY "Square 0.31 x .031 Fragment II" - Art - Dineke van Oosten

DINEKE VAN OOSTEN – SQUARE 0.31 x .031 COLLECTION

The REVUSD x Dineke van Oosten edition translates quiet into power. Each piece in this collection draws from "Square 0.31 x .031", an original ink-on-paper work created exclusively for REVUSD.

In van Oosten’s world, structure is ritual. Repetition is rebellion. Her gestures are deliberate yet open to chance. What begins as order breaks open into something more human: imperfect, tactile, alive.

This collection carries that duality, precision and pulse. The artwork is embedded into leather, letting Dineke’s raw rhythms become part of the form. A fragment of a larger composition. Worn close. Made to move with you.

SWAY "Square 0.31 x .031 Fragment II"

The SWAY translates Dineke van Oosten’s ink-based artwork into motion; a shoulder bag shaped by rhythm, balance, and interruption. A single excerpt from "Square 0.31 x 0.31" is embedded into full grain wet white leather: layered lines, interrupted by silence. Measured, yet raw. Its clean silhouette wraps closely to the body, while the artwork disrupts the symmetry. Just enough to catch the eye. A quiet tension between system and surprise.

Each piece is individually numbered.

Available in limited quantities.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dineke van Oosten is a Dutch visual artist whose work explores the interplay between system and spontaneity, control and coincidence. Working primarily with ink, paper, and repetition, her process embraces imperfection — allowing rhythm, texture, and interruption to reveal deeper structures beneath the surface.

Rooted in her Zeeuws-Vlaamse background, her work evokes the stillness of clay fields, the pulse of ploughed earth, and the subtle patterns of land shaped by hand and time. Each series is a study in contrast: methodical yet raw, restrained yet resonant.

The original artwork Square 0.31 x .031, created exclusively for REVUSD, is on view at the House of REVUSD in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

Dineke van Oosten

Once seen as a niche hobby, collecting has evolved into a dynamic and thriving market, with more collectors, sellers, and In the work of Dineke van Oosten, order and chaos, craft and system, control and chance collide. And that's allowed. It is precisely the imperfections, glitches, and hitches that give direction to her imagery. While machines strive for flawlessness, Van Oosten opts for the beauty of human intervention: conscious choices, accidental disruptions, and the power of repetition.

She works with simple, analog materials and artisanal processes. Actions that she repeats time and again, until something new emerges. Sometimes minimalistic, sometimes coarse. Chance is not a mere detail, but collaborates.

from linings to Details

From linings to details, we use deadstock and overstock—materials already made, nothing wasted. Because we work with what we find, we produce in small batches. No more, no faster, no mass production.

All our prototypes are handcrafted in the Netherlands and Belgium, where our designs come to life. Final production happens in a small, trusted workshop in Istanbul, where each piece is made with care, precision, and honest craftsmanship.

Even our shipping is mindful—only in full trucks, often combined with family visits. Keeping our chain small, warm, and considered.

Crafted with care. Rooted in connection.
